In March, the 2016 IHME Project, Kateřina Šedá’s Tram Buskers’ Tour, filled Helsinki’s trams with music and, at the same time, launched the #IHMEratikassa video competition. To enter the competition tram passengers had to film a performance by the buskers on the tour and share their video on YouTube with the hashtag #IHMEratikassa.
Dancing to SAffrAn
Anne Laakso’s video got the most likes by the competition deadline. “A group of us got on the tram, where to our delighted surprize someone began playing really nice-sounding music. My mother and father in law couldn’t resist dancing, and I decided to capture a bit of this fun situation on video,” says the maker of the winning video. “SAffrAn created such a good atmosphere on the tram that we stayed on with them past our stop, right to the end of the line, and then back in the opposite direction.”
The competition winner gets a privately booked tram trip donated by Helsinki City Transport (HKL). The in-laws have been invited, too.
Thanks to everyone who entered for all the competition videos! Winners of the canvas bags bearing the Tram Buskers’ Tour logo have been selected at random from all entries and the prize winners notified.
